I regularly utilize Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) which is a form of manual medicine applied by a doctor of osteopathy (D.O.) to alleviate somatic dysfunction (poor mobility due to tension in the soft tissues and joints). The goal is to harness the body’s natural healing processes to relieve pain and improve patient mobility and flexibility.

OMT is useful treating many conditions including:

  • Back and neck pain, including sciatica
  • Headaches
  • Rib pain
  • Non-cardiac chest pain
  • Hip pain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

Additionally, I am fellowship-trained in OMT and practice across the broad spectrum of osteopathic medicine. These approaches include Jones strain/counterstrain, cranial osteopathy, high-velocity low amplitude (similar to chiropractic), and muscle energy approaches which I can apply in any region ofthe body.
